Waukegan Softball working together & continuing to grow

The Waukegan Softball Association is a collaboration of girls travel and non-travel softball teams. Softball in Waukegan is headed in the right direction at all levels. Some teams are called the Bulldogs, Dawgs or the Renegades. The point is there are great teams of girls playing softball in Waukegan.  Softball provides an opportunity for girls to learn how to play the game of softball, build confidence while molding them into premier athletes and outstanding members of our community. 

Travel softball is young in Waukegan and continues to grow and improve as well as get Waukegan back to the top of the North Shore athletics scene.  Every year, we keep growing.  Softball is no longer just a spring sport. Some girls started playing at the age of 6 and a few are just getting their first shot. We are very proud of our former players who have gone onto playing in college!

18-under Renegades The team plays in the college-exposure circuit and is comprised of players from our area and southern Wisconsin. David Rodriguez is the coach.

16-under Renegades The team plays in an eight-team summer league and competes in summer tournaments. The team is also competing in 5 summer tournaments. Shawn White is the coach.

14-under Dawgs Competing in Division 2 of the North Shore Fast Pitch League (NSFPL), this team is also competes in summer tournaments. Drew Lambert is the coach.

12-under Bulldogs Competing in Division 2 of the North Shore Fast Pitch League (NSFPL), this team is also competes in summer tournaments. The team will be coached by Miranda Laffredi

10-under Bulldogs The intention is to have one team compete in the NSFPL plus compete in tournaments.  A second team would only compete in the NSFPL. Fundamental development will be emphasised as well as a great emphasis on pitching. All ability levels are welcome.

8-under Bulldogs The intention is to have teams compete with 8-u teams in surrounding communities. At the 8-under level fundamental development and learning to love the game is what its all about. There will be an emphasis on pitching.
