We may have changed the name and picked up a mascot for many of our girls future. We are proud of where we came from and even more so of where we are headed. Our group of coaches, players and parents made the 2006-2007 season one that many will not soon forget. With the support of the Waukegan Schools Athletics and Administration we look forward to the future of softball in Waukegan.
Travel softball is young in Waukegan and is continuing to grow and improve as well as get the name of Waukegan Softball BACK at the top of the North Shore athletics scene.
These girls will begin playing together this fall practicing and working on their skills. Some girls started playing at the age of 6 and a few are just getting their first shot.
The essential elements of character-building and ethics in sports are embodied in the concept of sportsmanship and six core principles:

• Good Citizenship
The highest potential of sports is achieved when competition reflects these "six pillars of character".
